Data Viewing, Calculation, and Management
A standalone tool that streamlines data management, visualization, and report creation—tasks that acoustic and vibration engineers spend much of their working time on.
Supports a wide range of file formats, including proprietary HBK test formats; third-party formats such as HBM and Head Acoustics; Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; standard test formats such as UFF and ASAM ODS; and finite-element model files such as Nastran, Ansys, and Abaqus.

Data Acquisition
You can acquire general acoustic and vibration data for analysis using HBK front ends such as LAN-XI, LAN-XI Light, or IDAe. The setup workflow is designed so you can create and save reusable custom configurations without using other acquisition or analysis licenses. When running a test, operators can load and use the settings at any time in the lab or at the test location.
The user interface is designed to quickly configure setups using TEDS transducer functionality. You can also drag transducers from the transducer database and drop them into the setup. Real-time visualization of connected front ends and per-channel monitoring make measurement status visible at a glance.
Measurements can be executed with a single click, and a variety of graph displays enable smooth data review—supporting accurate and efficient work.
Data Processing & Signal Analysis
Designed to efficiently perform tasks from real-time analysis through report generation using predefined process chains. These process chains include individual elements for various signal analysis processes as well as for display and storage. Users can use these elements to create any signal-processing flow, execute processing, and reuse the flow.

Experimental Modal Analysis & Correlation
An application for efficiently executing the sequential workflow required for experimental modal analysis—from geometry creation and measurement to curve fitting and result verification.
Measurement provides interfaces specialized for hammer and shaker excitation tests, making setup and measurement easy. It also offers many curve-fitting methods—including the latest algorithms—enabling highly accurate and efficient analysis with a graphical, easy-to-understand interface.
It also includes correlation functionality with DOF mapping for comparison with CAE results. Using this correlation feature, you can perform pre-test planning to determine measurement points for experimental modal analysis from the CAE model.
Sound Source Mapping
Combined with HBK array microphones, you can easily perform real-time noise-source localization and mapping. Two algorithms—beamforming and holography—are available, enabling analyses that cover a wide range from low to high frequencies. With templates, operators can set up routine measurements in seconds.
Measurement Front Ends
LAN-XI, provided by HBK, is a measurement front end that combines world-class performance and functionality. Key features include:
-
Wide dynamic range enabled by HBK's proprietary Dyn-X technology (160 dB narrowband)
-
A flexible system that lets you freely combine modules
-
Portable, rugged housing made of forged magnesium
-
Flexible power options: DC, battery, or PoE
-
Simple setup with just an Ethernet (LAN) cable connection
Dedicated modules are also available for strain bridges, high-speed tachometers, ultrasonic measurements, and more—supporting a wide variety of signal measurements.
