On performing full-vehicle CAE NV (noise and vibration) analysis, the road inputs are key concerns in vehicle comfort performance. The tire ‘made of complex materials including rubber, and air inflated’ is one of the most difficult components to develop a simulation model.
Based on excitation tests and other measurements, ESTECH provides a method to develop tire simulation models by identifying tire material properties using optimization.
In addition, by adding rolling effects (gyroscopic effect, doppler effect on air in tire, etc.) to tire dynamic stiffness matrix and modeling road excitation on tire patch, we enable accurate full-vehicle road noise analysis using linear finite element analysis.
