Steady-state Characteristic Analysis of Synchronous Motor

Summary

Electrical vehicle is becoming popular and the impression of quietness is widely accepted among users, however, an electric motor driving system generates distinctive noise and vibration which is different than the one caused by legacy internal combustion engine.
In the case of the electric motor analysis, the basic performances such as power, efficiency and heat generation are evaluated in general, additionally the noise and vibration analyses become indispensable recently.
In addition to the basic synchronous motor analysis, optimization study for shape of motor element is conducted by analyzing electromagnetic force precisely and excitation force to the motor structure is provided as an index.
