Feature

  • When the deformation of structure is analyzed, in some cases, the elastic deformation which describes relative displacement of inside of the structure is spotlighted instead of absolute displacement.
  • In this case, subtraction of rigid body displacement from absolute displacement is required, however, applying generic post-processor can eliminate contribution of rigid body motion from translational motion but can’t eliminate it from rotational motion.
  • Applying ESTECH.rmRBM together with MSC Nastran generates only output of elastic deflection after calculating rigid body displacement by six rigid body modes.

  • Calculate response of only elastic deformation with subtracting rigid body deformation derived from MSC Nastran SOL101(Static Analysis)/SOL103(Eigenvalue Analysis)/SOL101 and SOL111(Frequency Response Analysis)/SOL109 and SOL112(Transient Response Analysis) by applying least-square method.
How to use
  • Designate USET to target nodes for calculating rigid body motion after select the rmRBM tool when executing MSC Nastran.
